Montag's house was dark, had tightly shut windows, quiet because of the parlor walls and Clarisse's house was lightly-lit, had laughter, conversation, and it was a warm place. Montag's family was all controlled by the laws of the country and they followed them, while Clarisse's family was talkative and happy and wanted to part of the world's nature
